Mr. W. T. Stanton had everything his own way at Kwanti yesterday when the Fanling. Hunt and Rice Club opened their racing season. Mr. Stanton started in three steeplechase events and won them all. He started in the only flat race of the day, but was unplaced.
The attendance yesterday left nothing to be desired, there being what must be a record crowd at the courseAs a result, cash sweep figures showed a distinct improvement had prizes of 2000 to $700 werd returned for two-dollar tickets.

Except for the defeat of San Francisco in the second race, favourites generally had a good day, as quite a number of them turned up triumphantly.
His Excellency the Governor, Sir William. Peel, K.B.E., CM.G., and Lady Feel were on the course before the first race and stayed throughout the programme. H.E. Major-General J. W. Sandilands was also among those present.
After the fourth race, Lady Peel presented the November Cup to Mr. Stanton, who won it with Christmas Frolic, Mr. Bramwell "was presented with the Autumn Services Cup.

There were four starters for the opening event of the day. The public made As You Like It the favourite. Carbine was next in demand with Country Club and Bright Prospect next.
Carbine showed the way at the start followed by As You Like It, Bright Prospect next and Country Club laat,
Carbine and As You Like It drew away from the others after the frat
mile.
As You Like It drew ahead half mile from home and won by two lengths. Country Club was third many lengths behind,
Castle Peak Handicap Steeplechase.

Target led early on, but Movann- gher was sent on ahead with San Francisco, so that they wore on the heels of the leader,
Target kept its lead to win hand
somely by five lengths from San Francisco, who in turn was three lengths ahead of Movanagher.
Fernient was outclassed and Sucre did not finish
The winner paid more than three to one.
The Inaugural Flat Bace Stakes.
Kirribilli led the field here with nino starters, Diana, Fanling Stag and Discord being next. Big Ching made up a good bit of ground to join the leaders half a mile from home.
Fanling Stag won easily with Kirribilli next and Discord third. The winner took the lead over the last quarter and, won without much effort. Discord's-effort was very belated, otherwise, ho might have dono better,
