The arrangements at the courBO have been thoroughly seen to by the oflcials of the Club, and the writer has beon assured that nothing is lacking that could add to the enjoyment of the afternoon. For the first time in Kyansi there
will be a flat race, over a mile and
A quarter. The starters are animals
which have not won more than $500 in stakes since January, 1030, and winners of two or more, races are barred. There are fifteen entries and there should be a good race, as the distance will probably prove to be the stumbling block in the case of practically every entrant,

Castlų Paak Handicap Steeple- Chase.
For this racs over the mile and & quarter there are some very good class contenders, including Ban Francisco, Target, City Hall, Forn- leaf, and Moranagher. The field is such that it is no easy job to apot the winner, but San Francisco, in view of recent form at Happy Valloy, should just about do it. Mr. Stanton's Target and City Hall may upset onlenlations if they are in good enough condition, but I still feel that San Francisco is the best. Fernleal and Movanagher, though good enough, are not likely to upset the "1 big noises."
Inaugural Flat Bace Stakes. Over a mile and a quarter this race looks a good thing for Shiny Pearl, with "Andantino and Big Ching, and possibly Fanling Stag, as others likely to figure in the finish. It will be interesting to sco how this race will turn out and what time will be returned, as it is more than probable that more Bat races will be introduced for ponics that havo no chance whatever at 'Happy Valley if this inaugural event proves
в виссеяя,
The November Oup. This is the main race of the day, but the field might be somewhat. restricted. Blue Boy may go out here, and if he does ho will find a worthy contender in Christoran Frolic. Others likely to accept are Penhole and Pumpkin, but the race will be between Blue Boy and Christmas Frolic, and I feel that the latter should win.
Autumn Maidans Steeplechase. The last race of the day should prove to be the beat, as the start- ers, I hear, will include The Goods, The Partridge, Ma Kau Siac, Pacific Ocean, Nugget, and possibly Blue Doy if he is kept "from" an" earlier race. There ought to be a very fast paco, especially as the distance is only a mile. The Goods is undoubtedly the best on the flat, but I think over the jumps both The Partridge and Ma Kau Sinc ought to run him off bis legs, and in fact it would not be surprising to sco
