Mr. King then looked round in various directions and saw Indian constable in Mouns Caraerou Road, walking away from the car. Ho intended to hail, the constable and nsk him if he had seen anybody near the car, but changed his plans whom he saw a white object (his awenter) travelling through the air into the bushes. It had apparently been thrown there by the constable.

Going up to the man, Mr. King ordered him to retreive the sweater and said at the time that he would' report him. The constable then, according to Mr. King, began to "cringe"

and seized Mr. King's knees with his hands. He also sat on the running board of the car and continued to plead until Mr. King managed to shake him off and drove

The constable giving evidence, stated that he saw a car in Wan ehsi Gap and noticed in it a sweater, a sleeve of which was hanging out. He waited half an hour by the car and sounded its horn, but nobody appeared, no he decided to remove the sweater and take it to the Police Station.
