The Chairman also remarked that the Club-house was in a state which

Presiding at the sixth annual meeting of the Kowloon Golf Club, which was held yesterday at the Y.M.C.A., Kowloon, Mr. D. C. Wilson, the Chairman, commented the satisfactory state of the Club. There were now 210 members on the list, and the golf course, which had been greatly altered, had been made much use of during the On the Kowloon Dock greens past year. On the whole, results this afternoon, Kowloon Bowling were satisfying, as indicated on the Green Club and Civil Service C.C.balance-sheet and accounts placed will fight it out for the junior before members. The trophy was presented by championship of the lawn bowls Mr. P. Dorrance, of Shanghai, for league. neighbours. Taikoo also accounted for the other rivals and the Elec- tricians, sprang a surprise on the Civil Service team. In their own matches the two rivals shared the honours, and it is now quite a fair thing that they have to decide the issue with a replay. I have always thought that the Bowling Green were the better team, but they, like many others, have shared in the uncertainties of the game and gone down to weaker teams. How ever, I still think that the batting will be mostly in their favour since the Valley team had many times previously given promise of taking the honours only to fail at the fast moment. Civil Service have been deprived of the services of J. Archibald, who has left the Colony after useful work as a skip

It was originally arranged to play 13 heads on each rink, but rain caused a temporary stoppage. The limit was reduced to 13 heads and the competition WAS completed without further interference. The greens, however, were the heavy side, but this in no way damped the ardour of the players.
When the trophy was put up for competition the first time, Laing's rink was one of the two risks which won at Kowloon, Dock. On this occasion, when the veaue was changed, Laing's rink not only suc- ceeded again, but won the spoons presented to the rink with the highest majority. His rink won by 13 shots us against 12 shots by Duncan's rink.
Mrs. Shaw presented the Cup and "spoons to the winners during the social, the programme of which is given below.
