OPERATION DRAMA OF LIFTED MASK. DOCTORS STAGE A THRILL,

A sudden bush fell on a fashion- able audience at a performance of "William Tell" at the Paris Opera House recently, when a man in one "of the boxes, whom many recog nised as James Joyce, the Irish novelist, and poet, dramatically leaned forward, raised a pair of heavy dark glasses from his eyes, and exclaimed: Thank Good for this miracle.
