LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE MATCHES.

BOWLING GREEN SECONDS BEAT CIVIL SERVICE.

MEETING OF CHAMPIONS AND VALLEY RIVALS AGAIN POSTPONED.

TAIKOO WIN THE DOCK

DERBY."

Lawn bowls followers were disappointed on Saturday oking- to the important meeting between Civil Service and Craigengower senior teams having to be withdrawn again. The match was call- ed off the previous evening on the assumption, that the ground would not be in a playable condition, but it would have been wiser to have delayed the decision until the actual tinic for play. .Police and Craigengawer greens were in quite good condition and their teams fulfilled their engagements. The only other fixture which did not come off was the junior game between Kowloon C.C. and Taikoo, which it was decided to postpone the previous day owing to the hopeless condition of the Kowloon ground.

The Dock Derby at Taikos provided a close win for the home team. Bowling Green Clubs defeated the Police at the Valley by the heaviest margin of the season-55 shots." Club de Recreio kopt the points at home in their first meeting with Kowlcon C.0. Bowling Green Club juniors at last realised their ambition to get ahead of Civil Service after their even run in ten matches The Yacht Club succeeded as Caigengower by a amalt margin.
