Dredge: The work on day shift only has handled 5,600 yards, treat- ing 4,000 yards of low grade ground, cutting into new position, ordinary ground 1,800 yards, with a result of 39'30.ozs, of gold hullion, show- ing a profit.

Cyanide Plant:-398 tons of low grade concentrates treated for a return of 102'70 ozs of gold bullion, for a profitable result,

DISPLAY AT SCHENECTADY."

An audience of 500 people in a theatre at Schenectady, New York, recently saw an heard an "aet"

of a Blackface team, performing

more than a mile away in the General Electric Laboratory.

The actors' movement were shown. on a six-foot acreen. They were clearly visible and their voices were audible in every part of the building. By way of variety one member of the vaudeville team came to the theatre after the first part of the act had been shown, and the act went on with him playing his part on the stage there while his partner appeared only by television. Synchronization was effected with- out difficulty, and all that marred the performance was the tendency of the picture on the screen to sway slightly. Those who saw the demon- stration were agreed that the pic tures were much superior in light- ing and in their comparative free- dom from flickering to early cinema pictures. The success of the demon- stration has led the management of the theatre to retain television as a regular feature of their pro- gramme.
