The Canton police authorities have recently employed an ex-thief to arrest other thieves, according to the vernacular Press. The ex- crook, known as Bua Kai Yee Sum, had committed numerous thefts in the city, but recently he decided to abandon his old calling, and, offered himself to the Bureau of

Tokyo, July 3-In order to meet the requirements of the times, the latest agreement reached among the authorities in the Railway Ministry is to speed up all the passenger and freight train services throughout the country. Almost on all lines will thus be introduced the socalled "super-urgent express service on and after October i for not only the passenger but freight transport as well. A thoroughly revised time table will shortly be published.
