The total revenue for the year amounted to $23,354,473, being 91,973,878 more than the estimate, and 81,413,924 less than the revenue in 1999. The Revenue for 1998 in- cluded howover

The increases in interest and mis- cellaneous receipts are mainly due to the fall in exchange. Sterling in- vestments and deposits realised dur- ing the year have shown a con” siderable dollar appreciation' on that account. The other increases indicate that the improvement in local conditions referred to in the 1928 report have been maintained.
