Washington, May 6-Testifying before the House Banking Com mittee's investigation to-day, Mr. James Bacigalpui, president of the Bank of Italy and prominent in all West Coast banking netivities, testified to belief that there would be great expansion of branch banking in the United States.

KOWLOON WHARVES: This stock is very firm, and a large par- cel of shares were taken off the market at $172.50 to $173, but the demand is by no means satisfied and there are still many buyers about offering $173. This stock is apparently considered a very good "buy" by the majority of these interested in the market.

HONG KONG REALTIES were dealt in to a large extent, the price of shares rising from $8.75 to $11.95 during the week. Buyers were in the market on Saturday at the lat ter figure but no shares were offer ing.
