LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE.

KOWLOON DOCK "AND" TAIKOO BEATEN.

VICTIMS OF THE TWO VALLEY CLUBS.

"DOUBLE" FOR K.C.C.

Intermittent showers interfered with the opening day of the Iawn bowls League season on Saturday. The matches were complet- ed with the exception of the junior game between Taikoo and the Yacht Club, which had to be abandoned after two heads.

f

Craigeagower and Civil Service accounted for the two Docks by small margins. Kowloon C.C. started with a victory over the Bowling Green Club. The Police started none too well with a weaker team than last year and were overwhelmed on two rinki hy," the Club de Recreio.

In the junior section. Kowloon C.. secured a victory at Crai gengower, thanks to a majority of 90 shots on Skip Blackburn's rink. This rink put in all their eight woods to count in the thirteenth head, a feat which is rarely accomplished. The Bowl. ing Green Club won all round against the Blectricians, while the Club de Recrein were heaten by the Civil Service. RESULTS AT A GLANCE.
