A long programme" of events was gone through, and the boys entered the events in strong numbers re gardless of whether they won or löst. The 1,300 metres drew the largest number of contestants, the small competing with the bigger boys. The winner broke away from the rest at an early stage and finish- ed strongly. 'In the invitation race, St. Paul's College won all the way, St. Joseph's being a good second, and Queen's College third Ng W Yau was the senior champion and Joseph Mark the junior champion. At the close of the sparts, Mr. R. Shim expressed thanks to the South China Cub for the loan of the ground and also the prize donors, among whom were the Sun Co., Ltd.. Mr. Lindsell, addressing the aceting, said it was very gratifying indeed, that almost all the teams that competed last year had entered again. The German Tennis Club were very keen to put in a team, but unfortunately they had no .courts of their own other than hard courts and these were undergoing repairs.
