HONG KONG WINS IN ROWING.

CLOSING CRUISE AND REGATTA.

SOME DECIDEDLY CLOSE FINISHES.

Yat another very successful season of the Royal Hong Kong. Yacht Club was brought to a close on Saturday afternoon when the closing Cruise and Regatta-was held. There was a large gathering of members and friends, and the colours of the pretty frocks sported by the ladies added to the gaiety of the scene. The "programine included three sailing and four rowing events-the latter being in the nature of an Interport between the Colony and Canton. Hong Kong won the day by three events to one.

The weather was a trifle warm for rowing and the little rain that fell in the afternoon was decidedly welcome. There was not much of a breeze, but despite these handicaps, the afternoon was in great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all present.

THE SEASON REVIEWED.
