During the past week the share- market gave the impression that it in steadying slightly, although evidences of "wild" speculation were still, to be seen here and there.

The cotton yarn market has been fairly active during the past few days. Prices have consequently risen by two to three dollars per. bale. According to A Shanghai telegram, the prices there have risen by one dollar.
