THE TACOMA STAR.

PAYS FIRST VISIT TO HONG KONG.

The & Tacoma Star of the Blue Star Line (1920), Ltd., paid her first visit to this port when "she arrived from Singapore yesterday morning.

She is a steel twin screw steamer of 7,930 gross tons (4.704 nett) and was built in J010 by Messrs. Work- man Clark & Co., Ltd. of Belfast. She was registered in London and her dimensions are:-Length 430.0 ft., Breath 385 ft., depth 37.1 ft. Her engines were installed by the builders and develop 1138 N.H. P.. and she was originally known as the Wangfaratta.

Capt. Taylor is in command of the vessel and the local agents are Messrs Dodwell &. Co., Ltd.
