ARMY DEAT THE CLUB.

The Sim Shield match between the Club and the Army, played on the U.S.R.C. ground last evening, re- sulted in a win for the soldiers by 4 quals to 2, It was a very fast and open gaine, and the standard of play was high. The scores at half- time stood as two goals all, but after the interval the Army doubled their scores, while the Club failed to add, further to their account in R. E. H. Oliver and M. G. Mar- spite of repeated attacks on the rinut (scr.) . J. Barrow and D. M. soldiers' goal. The secrera for the MacDougall (owe 3/6),

Professor Sprague succeeds Mr. W. W. Stewart.

Mr. Oliver Mitchel Wentworth Sprague was born in Somerville (tass.) in 1873 and took hie degree at Harvard in 1804. Ile became a professor at that University in 1003 and has also held economies profes Forships in Tokyo. His writings include a number of standard works pon banking history and theory.]
