A tribute to the work of engineers TRAGIC LETTER TO CORONER. and scientists in India and Egypt was paid by Lord Lloyd at a recent meeting of the Royal Empire Society held at the Hotel Victoria, London, in co-operation with the British Association.

Three extraordinary letters were read at the inquest on Kate, Fanny Seabrook (05), whose charred body was found lying on the debris of a bed in their bungalow at Hoddesdon (Herts), and John Ernest Seabrook, whose body was found a few hours later on the railway line.
