Saturday's games were marred by two accidents. Transbitsky, H.K. F.C. fractured his wrist, and Gould. of the Navy, was carried off with n damaged ankle.

At King's Park, St. Joseph's bent the Club de Recreio by the odd goal in three. The teams liner out as under:-

Weather conditions for cricket on Saturday were ideal and some close games were seen. After fifteen minutes play Fowler opened the score for the Club beating Oppen- Sterling heim from close range. was in good form in goal for the Club and saved shots from Kho and Jap. The visitors played up strongly in the second half and put on three goals without reply from the Club. Jap beat Sterling and made the, score one all. Ling worked through the defence and scored from close range.. Before the final whistle rounded, Lee added to the Univer

This game attracted a large crowd to the St. Joseph's ground and n fast game ended in a win for the Athletic by two goals to Play was very consistent throughout the opening half, each goal being visited without falling. Half time,

The second half opened with a strong attack on the Saints citadel and Mak Kwok Tung scored. Keep- ing up the pressure the Athletic were awarded a penalty but Lo Wai Man missed, Lo Wai Man handled in his penalty area and Haroon made no mistake. A strug

Played on the Athletic ground at Happy Valley and won by Eastern by fire goals to two. Ewo took the leaded early in the game, Tsang Hon Sing scoring from close range. A Sabhan scored for Eastern. scramble in front of Ewo's goal chabled Lai Ting Choi to put Eastern in front. Half-time, East-

Craigengower Cricket Club creat- ed a big surprise by forcing a draw with the Hong Kong Cricket Club. In the junior division, the Univer- sity-R.A.O.C. affair was called off as the latter could not raise a side. The game between the C.S.C.C. juniors and the R.A. was cancelled, as. the Gunners have, we are in- formed, withdrawn from the League.

H.K.C.C. r. C.C.C... Running up a total of 17 for 9 wickets declared, the Craigengower Cricket Club were unfortunate in not securing full points from the HK.COM 4t, Happy Valley on Saturday, A

Zimmern (34) and Lim (25) gave the home team a good start, and thanks to fairly consistent scoring by the rest of the side the Valley, Club was able to declara as above.

Parker was the most successful H.K.C.C. bowler, taking'4 wicketa for 27 runs.

Faced with this respectable total, the Club soon met with disaster losing two wickets early on. How- ever, Pearce pulled the game out of the fire with 37 runs and the score stood at 127 for "9 wickets when stumps were drawn,

At King's Park, the Royal Navy and Indian Recreation Club met in a friendly which ended in a draw.

Lane, Crawford's' replied with 85 for a wickets. Hampton was top scorer with 20, and of the bowlers tried by the soldiers, Fry was most successful, his 4 wickets costing only 23 runs.

Playing at home, the H.K.C.C. easily accounted for the C.C.C. who could only muster 35 runs. Divett for the Club, bowled well for his 7 wickets for 16 runs.

The Club replied with 45 runs for 4 wickets. For the visitors Muskett took wickets for 16 and Kiteholl 2 for 3.

NAVY 1. ARMY, ·

The Navy are playing the Army to-day and to-morrow and the H.K.C.C. on Wednesday and Thurs- day, January 1 and 2. on the H.K. C.C. ground. The Band of the K.O.S.D.'s will play, on Monday. afternoon, and massed bands of the feet on Wednesday afternoon.
