DRIFTING TREE TRUNKS SIGHTED.

Captain E. C. Dickinson, master of the s. Khiva which arrived from London and Singapore reports and large logs on December 18, six having sighted everal tree trunks days, after leaving Singapore. The master considers that they are dan- gerous to navigation. No position is given.

Collision off Jardine's Wharf.

A junk collision occurred near Jardine's Wharf: West Point, on Saturday morning when a steam launch collided with a junk, which was in tow. The impact of the eal- lision holed the junk's side and she sank. The junk people on board were saved but the mistress received injuries to her face.
