The case against Mr. Noel Instone Brewer who is charged under the Perjury and Larceny Ordinance in connection with the affairs of the Instone Banking Corporation was continued at Cen- tral Magistracy yesterday before Mr., A. W. G. H. Grantham.
Mr H. Somerset Fitzroy, Assistant Attorney General, prose- cuted and the defendant was represented by Mr. E. Davidson,
Mr. S. H. Ross, chartered accountant, who had given evidence at earlier hearings was further cross-examined by Mr. Davidson.

$500 FINE FOR HAVING HEROIN "PILLS.
The mistress of a junk who was charged with posssession of 20 tina containing 900,000 heroin pills, pleaded guilty before Mr. T. S. Whyte Smith at Kowloon Magis- tracy yesterday and was fined $300 with the alternative of three months' hard labour.
Mr. H. A. Taylor of the Imports and Exports' Offer told the Magis trate that any pill containing heroin constituted dangerous drug. The pills seized not only contained heroin but also strych- hine which in itself was very dan- gerous. The tins were worth about $40 each.
