THEFT ON EMPRESS OF ASIA.

JAPANESE VICTIMISED.

According to a report made to the Police yesterday, a Japanese merchant, Mr. H. Koga, who was travelling second class, on the Em- press of Asia from Japan to Manila, has been the victim of a robbery which took place while the vessel was in Hong Kong on Thursday.

The report stated that Mr. Koga on arrival as Hong Kong came visit a compatriot and ashore to left four rattan baskets containing expensive silk clothing in his cabin. On his return the baskets wero missing.
