A large number of boat people. were before Mr. T. W. H; Hosegood in the Marine Court yesterday morning for commiting breaches of

the harbour regulations. In all

cases the defendants were convicted bat very light fines were imposed.

Six boat people appeared for fishing in a prohibited area at the south end of the Standard Oil

Wharf at Laichikok, and for failing

to provide shades for their bright lights used for fshing.
