ARMY HARBOUR RACE.

LANCE-CORPL. FINLAYSON WINS EVENT.

TWENTY-SEVEN OUT OF

THIRTY FINISHED.

Thirty competitors took the water in the annual Army Harbour Race held yesterday afternoon and the race went to Lance-Corporal Fin- laysin of the K.O.S. B. who finish. ed in the excellent time of 28 mins,

42-5 seconds. The race was from the Railway pier, Kowloon, to the R.A.S.C. camber.

Finlayson struck casterly course and began by ewiraming against the current. He made fuil use of the current jo the finishing stage of the race when he was hard pressed by Lance-Bombardier Clut- terback, RA who kept almost a Atraight course.

Clutterbuck" and "Gunner Forres ter, R.A., kept close together throughout the race and hended a bunch of some fifteen swimmers on

the West side. Finlayson swam almost by himself on the Eastern with a commanding lead
