A Good Record Spellt. Two Chinese cogawains of steam launches were summoned before Commander G. F. Holent the Marine Court yesterday morning for unlawfully mooring to the Tjitaroca defendants pleaded not guilty and outside two other launches. Bath
denied the offence. Evidence was daly given and each case His Wor- ship convicted. The frat defendant showed a clean record and in addi- tion held a Belilios Medal for saving life in 1991. In view of this, His Worship impoerd a light fine of $5 and fined the other defendant $10.
The master of a cargo boat was also convicted of carrying three passengers contrary to the condi- tions of his licence. A fine of $15 was imposed.
Meningitis on Fresident Liner. A case of cerebral spinal mea- ingitis was reported by the s.a. President Jackson (American) ar- riving here from Seattle and Manila. The patient is Chinese.
