THE WATER POLO LEAGUE.

KOWLOON ACCOUNTS FOR ROYAL NAVY:

BORDERERS BEAT CHINESE “A.”-

TWO LOW SCORING GAMES.

[Dr "WATERMAN ".}

Playing at the V.R.C. yesterday evening, the. Kowloon Swim- ming Club défented the Royal Navy by 2 goals to D in a closely contested game. The Chinese "A" after a hard tussle with the K.O.S.B. "A" went under by the odd goal in three.

The matches were notable for the low scores and the general standard of the games are improving. KOWLOON "A" V. ROYAL

The Kowloon team could not score in the first hall of their match against the Navy, who held them down by "sticking to the men." In the second half, however, the pres sure was too great and Simpson scored twice for the Peninsula side.

At the other end Kerr missed a good opportunity when he over- threw at close range. Immediately afterwards he had another chance And this time he struck the hori

zutal. Simpson was well marked and had little opportunity to use his damaging backhand. Just be fore the interval he had one chance but missed the goal by inches. At half time Kowloon, although they had monopolised the game, had not scored.

Second Hall.

The sailors put up a better show during the second half, but Kow- loon re-shuffled their team, Rail- ton playing centre half and Logan going forward. This proved much better than the original arrange ment and Railton played well in
