The Hong Kong Sharebrokers' Association and Hong Kong Stock Exchange 'weré clored, yesterday as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr. J. W. Kew, who died early yesterday morning. Mr. Kew was quite well on Saturday, and, the newa of his sudden death came a profound shock to his many 'friends.

In 1921, when the Hong Kong Sharebrokera' Association came into being, Mr. Kow was one of the moving spirits behind the pro ject, and he served as Secretary of the Institution for many years, handing over the work to a younger man in recent years. He had been a member of the Association Com mittee throughout its existence.
