It will be sur prising to those who have had dis- heartening failures in tropical de velopment to hear, that the gelatine of this plate has a melting-point of 120°F and go will easily stand a development temperature of from 00-110 without any danger of frilling, reticulation and melting, which is the bugbear of photograph in the tropics. The plate is iso- chromatic and possesses such a ne- ness of grain as to be not only suit- able to all amateurs and profes- sionals as an all-round plate, but also to Press photographers who require speed and fineness of grain, and rapid rate of development, fixing and drying.
Mr, Wessen also gave details of other specially fast plates, which he snid should be used with care, and Fresh stock insisted upon in order to get the full value of the speed and quality of the plate, as they do not keep very well in the tropics.
That his firra is out to regain the Chinese and Japanese markets is shown by the establishment of various distributing centres in the Far East, where fresh stock and regular supplies will be the out- standing points in its policy.
