DERELICT JENK AWASH.

A notification to Mariners at the Harbour Office states that a report was received from the master of the 8.8. Hangsang (Hr.) from Tsingtao and Swatow, that a derelict junk was sighted awash in Lat. 26.1 and Long. 191.02; and is consider- ed dangerous to navigation. The derelict has, niso been reported by: the masters of the 85 Borelin (British) from Balikpapan and Shanghai and the $3, Linen (British) from Shangbai and Amoy.

A New British Arrival. Arriving here in balaat from Newcastle-on-Tyne and Bangkok the Hampstead (British) made her first visit to this port. The vessel took in a supply of coat and left yesterday for Vladivostock to which part she was originally char- tered. She is owned by Messrs. Watts Company, Limited, of Stock ton, and Messrs. Dodwell & Com- pany are the agents.

She was built by Messrs. Richard- son Duck & Company of Stockton in 1906 as the 8.5. Glofield; and later renamed the s.8. Achlibster. Her engines which develop 333 N.H.P. were installed by Messra. Elaid & Company. Her net tonnage is, 2,520 and gross 4,383 tons; Length 355.9 ft., Beam 31.1 ft., and depth 20.8 14.

The master of the 5.6. Apocy (British) arriving from Hengay re- ports the loss of the starboard bower anchor and 15 Fathoms of eable at sca

No Clearance Permit. The master af the Japanese 4,400 motor-schooner Hoshun Maru was fined $30 (or one months' imprison- ment) on pleading guilty to leaving the port without a clearance per mit. He was stopped and arrested by Lance Sergeant Woods outside Green Island.

Boatman Fined.

The master of a fishing boat was 34,070 fred 815 by Mr. T. S. Whyte Smith t Kowloon Magistracy for being in possession of three sticks of dynamite, two detonators and a number of fuses.
