Capt. G. H. E. Abbott, of the K.O.S.B., was summoned at Central Magistracy yesterday, before Mr. E. W. Hamilton, for driving with a learner's licence without being accompanied by a licenced driver. He was also summoned for failing to produce his licence and with driving outside the area set apart for learners.
Defendant admitted the offences and explained that his licence was in the pocket of the car, but he did not know it when he was stopped. He added that he should have

Two Chinese appeared on a charge of detaining a sing song girl illegally. It was stated that the defendant decayed the girl into a boarding bouse, where she was lock- ed up in a room for a night with one of the two men.
