The Central Bank of China in Canton formally re-opened for business to-day under a new ad- ministration. Practically a the former officials have been replaced. Mr. Chow Min Chu, a prominent; merchant of Hong Kong, and a special friend of General Chen Ming Shu, is now the chief manager of the Bank. He said in an inter- view with local Pressmen that the exchange department of the Bank will be re-opened" sometime during the early "part of July, when the public will be able to change bank notes for silver.

Lieut.-Col. L. J. Comys, commanding the and Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderer's, gave evidence when the General Court Martial hearing charges of negligence against Major Ogilvy while acting as President of the Regimental Institute, were resumed yesterday.
