It was gratifying to see that the Club de Recreio did after all retrieve their reputation in lawn bowls circles last week. The senior į team defeated Kowloon Dock-a re- salt which caused much surprise and provided material for much talk at other Oluks. The news was, in fact,

A divorce petition was hoard before Mr. Justice James Myrtle Mary Gibson, a young woman to the Albury Cirenit Court petitioned for the dissolution, of her marriage grounds of constructive desertion with Charles Edward Gibson on the

In evidence in support of her petition she said that shortly after the marriage her hus band bogan to treat her badly, and in March, 1921, he locked her out of the house so that she had to re- turn to her mother. After she left respondent in 1921 she obtained a maintenance order against him.
Presumed Him Dead, In 1926 her aunt told her she had been informed by letter from a màn with whom Gibson used to go droving, that Gibson had commit- ted suicide. Shortly afterwards ahe (petitioner) married, a man named Ponsonby, the ceremony being per- formed on May 13, 1928. Later she was informed by the police that they had arrested her husband, Gibson, on the warrant which had been originally issued for desertion, hereupon left Fonsonby and had not since lived with him.
