Dr. Taylor visited Hawaii on n world tour to study the leprosy settlement Molokai. He is being sent around the world by the government of Formosa for a year's study, with a view to establishing a similar colony-there.

He commented upon the apparent entisfaction and happiness of the inmates of the settlement. He said that many such isolation settle ments are conducted in such a way that inmates feel as if they were in prison. Such an attitude inter- feres with the segregation of lepers.
