Wreck in Woosung.

A notice in the Harbour Office states that the wreck of the Kang- tai lies sunk in the South channel entrance to the Yangisie River in a position from which Woosung Lighthouse bears S. 33 deg. W.. distant 2.4 miles.

The wreck is that of an iron steamer, 200 feet long and 39 feet beam. She is lying upright on the bottom in an cast and west direction in about, 47 fect of water at low water of extraordinary, apting tides. At present twò masts and the funnel 8,314 are visible at high water. An Aga gas-lighted wreck marking buoy, painted green and showing a green flashing light ever 3. seconds thus: Light 0.3 second, Eclipse 9.7 seconds has been moored about cable east from the wreck, that is, in a direct line to seaward of the line in which the hull is lying. Vessels can pass either side of the buoy at a dis tance of not less than I cables. From the position of the buoy, Woo sung lighthouse bears 834 deg. W., distant 2 miles.

Cordite to be Burned

In a notification to Mariners the

Naval Armament Supply Officer states that a quantity of un- servicible cordite at Stonecutters Rifle Range will be burnt on Wednesday and Friday next, April 17 and 19. in the morning,

A New Arrival. The German vessel, Doris, (nett from tonnage 2,932) arrived Sabing at 3 p.m. on Sunday. She had a cargo of 7,000 tons of sugar for the Taikoo Sugar Refinery and she was specially chartered to carry that cargo.

She was built by Russel & Co. i Port Glasgow in 1918 and was originally known as the Ardgorn. Her engines, which were installed by Rankin and Blackmere, Ltd., develop 488 N.H.P. For sometime called the past she has been Comino so this is the third time she has changed her name.

She has a crew of 38. (all Euro- peans) and her dimensions are, Length 365, Beam 5e and Depth 28.3. At the moment she is. lying probable that she will sail for Saturday Captain Bangkok on Moeller is in command.:
