A FAMILY CONTEST

The first semi-final of the Open the of Singles Championship Colony was played on the Stand Court yesterday afternoon between S. A. Rumjahu and H. D. Rumjan who are cousins, and partners in the Open Doubles. It resulted in a win for the former, who started favourite, by 6-4, 6-1, 6-3, after a fast match in which play often reached a high standard.

The match attracted particular attention sa these two players though they have held the Open Doubles title for the last four years' have never
