FINED FOR FAILING TO TAKE Argonauta, British str. 3.183 tons.

OUT LICENSE.

The master of a cargo boat was before Comdr. G. F. Hole at the Marine Court yesterday for failing to take out a license for his craft. He pleaded guilty and was fined 818

two weeks.

Dangerous Goods. The master of the Hang Sang reported the he had on board 854 cases of cartridges, etc.

The vessel arrived on 7th inst from Tsingtao and Swatow.

Low Water in the River. Owing to the shallowness of water in the West River vessels on the Wuchow run now find it difficult even to go as far as Do Sing. At the present time the water is steadily 4,27$ 3,338 sinking lower and the situation is serious for the West River ports and the whole countryside served by them.
