Notices to Mariners. A notice in the, Harbour Office states that the Superintendent of Customs and the Treaty Power Consuls have declared the Port of Osaka to be small-pox infected. All vessels arriving therefrom will be governed by the Sanitary Regula- tions for the Port of Shanghai.

Another notice states that the overhaul of Customs owned moor- ings in the Shanghai Harbour is about to be commenced. Pontoon sheer-legs with diving gear will be employed and those in charge of vessels navigating the river are re- quested to go as show as possible when in the vicinity of the crait engaged in this work.
