The Master of the Chenanceaux (French) arriving from Marseilles and Saigon reports two deaths dur 3,507 ing the voyage from plague and typhoid. The 5.B. Svale (Nor- wegian) from Penang and Singa pora also reports a death during the voyage.

Kochow Aground,

On her way down from Wuchow the 8.3. Kochow went aground off Kai Saio for a few hours. The master reports, however, that the water in the West River is rising.
