The accused were A. Falconer and C. Glendenning (seames), G. Anderson (bo'sun), G. Davidson, J. Pickett, Robert Jamieson and. H. Christie (Gremen).

The defendants were summoned at the instance of the ship's Master, Captain R. D. Cooper.

Mr. D. L. Strellet appeared on behalf of the Captain, while Mr. Leo D'Almada Sar. was for the defendants.

At the outset of the proceedings Mr. Strellet applied to the Magis trate for the withdrawal of the charges and explained that the crew
