This game was played at Caro. line Hill and ended in a win for the Navy by three goals to one.. It was marred by an incident, which ended in Evans, the Navy centre- half, being ordered off the field by the referee. The Navy were the first to attack and Peacock opened the score. The Club retaliated but chances were missed. Then Bark ham got away and from his centre, Peacock again beat Edwards. Half-time Navy 2, Club 0.

A large crowd witnessed this game on the Navy ground within the racecourse, the Navy winning by the odd goal in three. The game was keenly contested and at the interval the Navy were leading by a goal to ni, Simmonds having scored.

A total of 149 goals resulted from the 44 gamerin the English League on Saturday. Teams playing at home claimed 100 goals and 23 wins. Away teams had nine wins, twelve matches being drawn. Some of the strong teams, in high places of the League," bad their plans upset by the lenser lights. Aston Villa, contenders for the Cup, dropped from third third to sixth place owing to their unexpected defeat at home by Birmingham. Sheffield Wednes day, the leaders, were beaten by Cardiff. Sunderland followed the example by going down at Newcastle. Bolton Wanderers, one of the possible Cup finalists this season, did not shine in their League match, the points being shared with Sheffield Urted.

Middlesbrough, Division II. leaders, lost a point at home to Saahaan Southampton, the great drawing side, failed to keep up the end against the Fedisioners Port Vale, at home, scored 8-1 against West Bromwich Albion.

High scores were registered in Division III. Queen's Park Rovers beat Merthyr 8-0. Northampton, the leaders in the South- ara Section, fell to the Palace. Bradford City, fresh from their "enid-week succcas against Tranmere by a score of 80 put up a similar score in entertaining Barrow, thas drawing alongside the leaders Accrington surprised Doucaster by a 60 victory.

The Glasgow Rangers maintained their unbeaten record by accounting for the Hibernians. Hearts and Motherwell both fell by the wayside.

The annual dance given by the bachelor members of the Craigen- gower Cricket Club on Saturday. night was a successful as the pre- vious efforts. An efficient set of bachelors comprised the organising committee, and thanks to their efforts. several hundred merry- makers, including many charming young ladies, who were naturally the principal guests, married men and their families, and other bache. lors kept up the revels until they thought it was time to go home.

Special mention must be made of a band of young ladies who besieged the dancing hall on Saturday morn- the decorations. SOUTH CHINA v. R.A. This game was played at Sookun. poo and ended in a win for South China by one goal to nil, Daring the game, Oliver, R.A., and Ip Pak Wah were ordered off the Aeld by the referee. The football through. out was of a low standard. South Chian attacked from the kick off, but Oliver and Taylor defended soundly. Fung King Cheung could not get his line together, although Wong Mee Shop was well served. Half-time, no score.

South China pet up a strong at tacle from the re-start but eventual. by Gill and Watson raised the siege. South China got away and Wong Meehan sent in a fast shot which Fletcher, failed to clear and Fung following up sent into the net win- ning the gaze for South Chine. The RA played up strongly after this reverse but failed to penetrate South Caina's defence.
