FRENCH COASTAL STEAMER TO BE SOLD.

WELL-KNOWN ON CHINA : COAST.

We learn that the sa. Hanoi cwned by the Indo-China Steam Navigation Company, will soon be offered for sale. The vessel arrived yesterday from Fort Bayard on her last voyage in the Company's sor vice. In an interview with the local agent our representative' was told that the vessel will be replaced by a newer vessel, the "Canton.”

The sa Hanoi was built in 1883 by Messrs. Sunderland Steamboat Co., Ltd, of Sunderland for the Indo-Chinoise Navigation Company. The vessel is a steel screw steamer, 4,257 2,020 and her engines, which develop 168 N.H.P., were installed by the North East Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., of Sunderland. The vessel has a nett tonnage of 603 and gross, 1,208. tons. Her dimensions are, Length 940 ft., Beaur 33 ft., and Depth 17.3 ft. Captain Crouchet is in com- mand.
