Georges Michel of France again praises

Ovaltine's" sustaining goodness

***

Threa timer, now, it has served him well—in his" record English Channel Swim, during last year's Wrigley Marathon, and throughout the terrifle leal of the 3rd Wrigley Marathon, just past.

At rx o'clock, on the crack of the pistol, Wednes- day morning, September 5th, two hundred swim. mers dived off the special float provided by the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto, to start the 3rd Wrigley Marathon.

Two hundred entrants, every one in the pink of physical condition-some of them the world's best swimmers.

One by one the icy water of Lake Ontario over- came them, humbling their strength and endur- ance. At 6.43 p.m., of all the two hundred who plunged so vigorously into the lake, only man, Georges Michel, was left,

At 10.11 p.m.-nearly four hours later he was still there. Finally, the terrible water conquered him also,, but only after he had given an almost superhuman display of stamina and endurance. Gentlemen,

Toronto, September 7th, 1928, I write to inform you that during the 3rd Wrigley, Marathon, just as during the Wrigley contest of last year, I did not take any other food but "Ovaltine""_which, I took in milk or black coffee. Furthermore, I particularly appreciate your product because “Ovaltine" was my only nourishment when crossed the English Channel in the Spring of 1927. I appreciate this strength-giving food for its light consistency und rapid assimilation.

Yours very truly,

Signed. G. Michel.

Make delicious "Ovaltine" your daily beverage, Ovaltine" is just what every man, woman and child needs to build up reserve vitality and to maintain bealth.

At the conclusion of the Eight, H.E. Major-General C. C. Luard (G.O.C.) distributed the prizes to the winners Before making the presentation he said that this was the second boxing championship which the Army out here was able to have. This year they had four British regiments in Hong Kong and the tournament had been a great success. Boxing in the Army, should be encouraged in every way possible. It forced men to keep fit, and fitness was one thing which the Army always aimed at. It also developed courage sad determina. tion, qualities needed in every Boldier.

Boxing also taught straight for ward and clean ways, and he was glad to say that this tournament

The score at hal-time was 7-5 in Ireland's favour.

When play was resumed, it was evident that the Irish team intend. had been fought in a most sported to set a fast pace and rush ing manner.
