TOTALS FOR THE WEEK.
The general cargo returns for tha week-end were about average, Satur-Poleric, to-morrow." day's imports and through cargo were quite good, but the cargo dis- charged on Sunday showed a de ereist Through cargo, however, was high. Twenty-six arrivals and thirty- eight departures were shown for the week-end of which ten arrivals and thirteen departures were British. Chinese were next best with six arrivals and eight departures.

Saturday's Figures, Fourteen arrivals and twenty departares were shown on Satur day, 9 am, of which five arrivals and Ave departures were British. Both imports and through cargo were good. A heavy cargo of rice was discharged for Hong Kong. Im ports from twelve vessels amounted to 10,412 tons of which 2,571 tona were contributed by four British ships. The two best returns were
from the

Sing (Chinese) from Saigon with 2,200 tons of rice, and the st. Hubro from the same port with 2,100 tons
of rice.
Through freights amounted to 12,908 tons. Two British vessels carried 3,689 tons. The best car-
riers were the ss. President Cleve land from Seattle and Shanghai with 4.942 tons, and the s.1. Hozo lulu Maru from Yokohama and Moji with 4,141 tons.
Yesterday's Statement. Yesterday's cargo returns showed a decrease in imports, but sa im- provement in the through cargo. Thirteen arrivals and eighteen, de partures were shown of which five arrivals and eight departures were British. Three foreign vesels ca ried 19,850 tons of cargo for other
ports:
Cargo for Hong Kong from nine vessels mounted to 7,374 tons, three British ships contributed 3,050
tons. The best returns were from the s.. Mausang (British) from Sandalcan with 2,000 tons of timber, and the s.s. Huithor (Norwegian) from Bangkok and Kosichang with 1100 tons of general merchandise.
Five vessels carried 20,074 tons, of which two were British with 229 tone. The three other carriers were the e.. Ostkerk (Dutch) with 7,000, tons from Vladivostock and Shang hai, the .Tottori Haru (Japan ese) from Middlesborough and Sin: gapore with 8,300 tons.

Details Of Week's Freights. During the week, from Monday am, to yesterday 8 a.m. a total of 109,474 toms of general merchandise was discharged at Hong Kong. This shows an increase of about 30,000 tons over the previous week's total.
Although not as high as the pre- vious week's total, the through freights showed a total of 133,447
tons.

WRECK OF SS. HENGCHONG,
A notice to mariners states that the B.. Hongchong lies sunk in: Latitude 31° 41′ 00′′ N., Longitude 129 18 00 E. (British Admiralty Charts Noe 1199 and 3450); The wreck, is a atsel steamer, 953 feat in length, 1,110 tons register. At present two masts are showing about 3 feet above water.
Two Deaths On Fresident Boak. The Provident Cleveland (U.S.A.) arriving from Seattle and Shanghai reports two deaths during the voyage, from endocarditis and Brights disease.
Dangerous Goods.
Three Japanese vessels carried heavy consignments of dangeroui goods for Hong Kong and through porta. The cargoes were mostly chemicals. The sa. Honolulu Maru arriving from Yokohams and Moji had 23 cases of mitric acid, 7 drume of ether, 40 cases of sulphuric acid,
