The interest of Saturday's cricket League match in which the Chinese was centred in the only Senior

R.D. gave the pricket enthusiasts yet another surprise by defeating las year's champions by 33 runs.

Once again. W. C. Hung did fine bat He was ably assisted by W. H. work for his side both with ball and

Bling who batted for 57 runs.

In the Junior games, Lieut-Col. Wyatt gave a fine exhibition of bowling against the C.C.C. 2nd XI. and took 7 wickets for 9 runs. His Performance included the hat- trick." The I.R.C. defeated the R.A.0.0.

Five friendly games were played with interesting results. The "Club”· defeated the Civil Service, and the K.C.O entertained an Army XI. whom they defeated. The Club 2nd XI. also defeated the Civil Service. End, while Club de Recreio gave the Police a trouncing.

FIRST DIVISION,

The Queen's pressed from the kick off and Thurlow gave them an early lead. Queen's scored from a mi CHINESE R.C. t. kick by a defender and a penalty kick. The R.A. then made their effort and Bridgeman scoring.

UNIVERSITY.

On their own ground at Causeway Bay, the Chinese B.C. defeated the

The Cup Presentation. At the close of the game, Mrs. Southern presented the Cup to Wynne, England' captain. Before making the presentation. Mr. W. E. Hollands, Hos. Becretary Hong Kong FA remarked that the gate proceeds were given to charity. Since the competition was in- augurated in 1925, over $15,000 had been given to charities, local and foreign, last season's record being over $7,600. The visitors went in first but were dismissed for a total of 78. F Baker (17) and B. D. Evans (16) were the highest scorers. Rev. Quick was in fine bowling form and took six wickets for 30, and Parker tools 3 for 11.

The Cricket Club replied with 173 runs for wickets. A. W. Hay- ward and the Rev. Quick contribut- ed 31 runs apiece and H. Owen Hughes made 13. Edmonds showed the best analysis with 7 wickets for 39 runs.

FOURTH ROUND OF F.A. CUP COMPETITION.

RANGERS STILL WINNING.

The fourth round of the Football Association Cup competition was tronuovïly contested on Saturday, and Sya replays are neces- sary, Ay expected, Manafeld Town and the Corinthians were eliminated by Division I. teams.

Blackburn Rovers, last season's winners, received a strong challenge from Derby County and failed to reach a decision. Two other Division I. teams, Liverpool and Bolton, also drew, Clapton Orient, a Division II. team, drew with the Villa Burnley did not ahine on their own ground, being firmly held by the Division III. Southern team, Swindon, in a draw producing six goals. Reading and Chelsea, Division II. teams,, defeated their seniors, Sheffield United and Birmingham. Ten goals were scored between the two teams in the Southern Section Derby, Bournemouth, sur- viving for the fifth round.

Several League fixtures were also carried out, but leading positions all round remain as before. Fulham strengthened their position at the top of the Southern Section by accounting for Queen's Park Rangers, their closest rivals, by five clear goals. Northampton climbed to second place in this Section. The Soot- tish Rangers still continus unbeiten.
