In evidence Choy Kwai said that when his boat met the pirates vessel, he was ordered to lower his. sail He refused to do that and about 10 to 20 shots were fired at them. He lost his ship, tackle, $158.90 în money, various articles of clothing and the fish cargo, W28 valued at $1,600.

Witnesa spoke of the four other alleged pirates being arrested in a boat at Wong Chai and said that he recognised the prisoner as one of the men who had taken part in the piracy. After that time wit ness did not see the prisoner again until October. 28th, last year, at Cheung Chan Police Station when he picked him out at an identifica- tion parade.
