SOUTH CHINA "A" NAVY.
The South China "A" team "lost to a strong Navy team at Caroline Hill by three goals to nil. The Navy should have piled up more goals had their forwards been better in front of goal. Sorbie was in fine form for the winners, but Clarke and. Hasseli were not up to usual standard. Sorbie opened; the score having gathered a fine centre from Sweet South China made great efforts to get their forwards too going, but the defence was strong. In view of the Navy's form against the Borderers last week in the Shield competition, they opened was but six goals unthought of South China's only goal was the result of a penalty, After playing a fairly even first half, South Chins fell off badly and the Navy put on five goals in the second half without reply from South China.
The Navy were cut to win from the kick off and South China were
enrly defending. After Pau a Ping had saved from Van Tromp and Cann, Kernick beat him with A fast low shot.

RECREIO R.A.F.
Recreio second string failed C. against the Airmen at King's Park. There was little about the play to arouse enthusiasm, the work of bota forward lines lacking cohesion. R.A.F were slightly the better team and were well served in the half back line. The pick »ọi the Recreio side were G. Marques, who played a fine game in goal C. Gosano and Santos, the later being responsible for some very clever movements The Airmen took the lead through Gallagher, but C. Gosano beat Jarvis with a neat shot.
The rivalry between these teams was well fought out on the Garrison ground at Sookunpoo, the result being a draw of one goal all. The Queen's started favourites in view of their crushing defeat of the R.A in midweek, while the Gunners had previously beaten the Borderers this season in the league.
The game Was A needles one throughout and the result in doubt until the final whistle sounded. The Queen's opened strongly but failed against a sound K.D.S.B, defence. Barclay and Caldicutt were always dangerous but the opening goal came from the opposite wing Larkin beating McDougall from pras by Cantor. Richardson had a few chances to increase the Queen's lead but he had a day off. Before the interval the Borderers turned the game in their favour but failed
to score.
Half-time: Queen's 1,∙K.O.S.B. 0. Resuming, the Borderers attacked in great style and Dodds in the Queen's goal was kept busy. Torrie did well on the Borderers right but his fine centres were not turned to account until McGlinchey got his
head to one and levelled the score. The Queen's then attacked strong ly but the Borderers defence held out. The middle line, ably led by Davy, broke down the Queen'e at talk and when the final whistle sounded the E.O.S.B. were attack- ing strongly.
Result: K.0.8.B. 1, Queen's. 1. The teams:-
K.U.S.B.: McDougall; Reeves and Martin; Gear, Davey and Skiggs; Torrie, Stock, Everest, McGlinchey and Alexander.
