The general cargo returns for the week-end were

For very good.. Saturday the imports were very high, and through freights good. Yesterday's figures showed a good fatal of importa und very heavy through cargo.

There were thirty. six arrivals and thirty-two depar tures, of which Efteen arrivals and were British. twelve departures British vessels were heaviest cargo earriers for this port, while Japan ese and American vessels shared the bonours far through cargoes.

Saturday's Statement, Twenty-one arrivals and eleven departures were shown during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m., Saturday, of-which ten arrivals and three departures were British.. · British ships were best importers, while Japanese ships carried the heaviess through freights.

Cargo for Hong Kong"amounted to 27.262 tons, of which 20,595 tons were ccntributed by seven British ships. The two best returns were from

British vessels. The 4.5. Tascaluss (British) arriving from

San Francisco discharged 8.400 tons of oil fuel, while the as. Wing Hong from Calcutta and" Singapore "had

5,000 tons of coal.

Through freights amounted to 14.608 tona, and three British ships had 3,323 tons. The best carriers were two Japanese ships. The s.s. Awa Maru from Mogoya and Shang hai had 3,583 tons of general cargo, and the s.s. Astuta Maru from Yokohama and Shanghai carried 2,770 tons.

[BY LOXQSHOREMAN, } The na Dalgoms (British) which arrived here yesterday from Calcul

and Singapore paid her first visit to this part. The vessel is owned by the British India Steam Naviga- tion. Co., Ltd., for whom Messrs. Mackinnon and Mackenzie are the local agents. The vessel is berthed at the Kowloon Wharves and is a motor vessel with cruiser stern.

The vessel was built in 1993 by Messra A. Stephens & Sons, Ltd., of Glasgow with a melt tonnage of 3,571 tons. Her gross tonnage is 3,953 tons. Her dit engines which mera installed by the builders de velop 998 N..P. Her dimensions are Length. 430 feet. Beam 54.7 feet. and Depth 20.7 feet Captain G. E. Brooks is in command.

The vessel was shown as heaviest cargo carrier for this part in the Daily returns yesterday discharg: ing 6.393 tons of coal. The vessel also brought 781 Asiatic deck passengers for this port and Amoy,

The Week's Freight Returns. During the week, from Monday 9 am to yesterday 9 a.m., 108,143 tons of general merchandise were discharged at Hong Kong, while 158,787 tons were carried through to other ports.
