Hong Kong is a big distributing centre for leather, consignments being transhipped to North and South China Ports. and the volume of business done in a year amounting to $2,000,000 Leather for shoe making in chiefly import ed from Sydney, United States and Germany. Recently, business recovered from the slump brought about by the general strike. at 1925.
