Amongst the shipping arrivals for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yester day was the British reasel-Cape Recife. This vessel arrived from Calcutts with a' cargo of 6,300 tons of coal for Hong Kong. Incidental ly the vessel was the heaviest cargo discharger for this port on that day. Captain R. Bradley is in com- mand, and Messrs. Gibb Livingston & Company are the local agents The nett tonnage of the vessel is 3,#26 tons.

"MOREA" at the Marine Court on Saturday "KASZUAR“ morning for anchoring his boat "MACEDONIA within the cable area as Aberdeen.PADUA' The defendant pleaded guilty, and ja fine of 810 with the alternative of 10 days' hard labour was im- posed. Mr. Tacchi, of the Public Works Department, said that the defendant had anchored in the prohibited area and later, whan endeavouring to leave, found that the anchor had fouled the cables lying on the sen bed and the pipes which supplied water to Aberdeen district. The damage sustained to the cables could not at present be ascertained, but the water supply had been cut off, though the meter still registered, showing that water was leaking. Divers were being sent down to effect repairs.
