Ten vessels carried a total of 19,331 tons of general merchandise for through ports of which six were British ships carrying 12,417 tons.į The best carriers were the as City

Chester (British) from Newcastle on-Tyne and Singapore with 5,919 tons of general cargo, and the gs, Jeypore (British) from Yokohama
