YESTERDAY'S FREIGHT

RETURNS.

IMPORTS REMAIN GOOD

THROUGH FREIGHTS. DROP HEAVILY,

The general cargo returns for the 2 hours ended at 9 am. yesterday showed very good imports but there was a heavy decrease in through cargo. Thirteen arrivals and twelve departures were shown of which six arrival, and five" departures were British vessels.

Eight vessels discharged mer. chandise for this port amounting to 10,276 tons and four British ships contributed 3,206 tons. The two best cargo returns were from the sis. Tenshui Maru (Japanese) with 4,700 tons of general cargo from Dairen and Chefoo, and the 55. Barnes (British) with 2,465 tons from Haiphong and Hoihow.

Through freights carried by seven vessels totalled 6.823 tons. Four British ships, carried 1,092 tons. The s... Tuyama Maru (Japanese) Arriving from Yokohama and Iloilo enrried 3,173 tons of general cargo, while the ss. Tikembang (Dutch) from Sourabaya and Keelang-car- tied 1,500 tons.

The master of the 5.3. Generic (Norwegian), Captain G. Gerhard sen, which arrived on Sunday. Irom Canton states that the vessel was fired upon by tour junks of Anheui Paint, Canton river, at 2.33 m. on Sunday. The vessel left Cantonencruachan, Nov. 28th. 90 November 24th (Saturday) for Hong Kong. Mesars. Dodwell & Co., Ltd, are the local agents.

Notification To Mariners. The master of the s.s. (chung (British) authorises the following notification to Mariners which was pasted at the Harbour Office yester day:

Two derelict junks were sighted floating bottom up at 4 p.m. on November 2nd in LAI, 996 45 45" N., and Long. 116° u position at
